Why We Built This Site
Kentucky gives the public access to many court and agency records, but Rowan County records are not kept in one universal database. The Circuit Court Clerk at the Rowan County Judicial Center is the starting point for Circuit, Family, and District Court case files, including felony, misdemeanor, traffic, divorce, and probate matters in District Court. The Rowan County Clerk handles marriage licenses, recorded instruments, recorded wills, and county-clerk open records. The Sheriff, Detention Center, Morehead Police, Kentucky State Police, and Kentucky Department of Corrections each keep separate public-safety records. This site organizes those official paths by record type.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
